This piano collection has been crafted with the intention of creating beautiful, romantic pieces that are accessible to intermediate students while also being simple enough for teachers to sight read them. Drawing inspiration from the works of composers such as Field, Schumann, Chopin, and Fauré, these pieces offer a fresh perspective on the nocturne form, blending familiarity with individuality.

The tempos vary among the pieces, with some being slow (Nocturnes No. 2, 4, and 6) and others at a medium pace (No. 1, 3, and 5). I chose to avoid exact tempo markings, as I believe that music thrives within a range, allowing performers to interpret and express themselves through their own taste and imagination.

This edition includes courtesy accidentals.

I hope that you will find as much joy in playing these pieces as I did in writing them.
