These “Light-hearted laments” were  inspired by the playful but thought-provoking writing of my friend and frequent collaborator, Janet Windeler Ryan. Sitting on the Porch was definitely the inspiration for the set, and Janet was generous in allowing me to pick the other two poems from her amazing collection.
